Pickleball Paddles

This topic caught my eye...a few months later. I think most of the higher-end paddles are composite sheets in a sandwich panel. This one mentions T700 carbon, which is a common fiber.

My personal efforts to make a paddle have stalled out with other time commitments, but if you want to try it yourself, find a sandwich panel online with thinner carbon skins and a router should cut it out pretty easily. My skins were too thick and the paddle felt too heavy and unbalanced. Version 2 coming in 2024, hopefully.
