Best thermocouples for oven cure

Harsha

Question

Hi,

I have been using random K-type thermocouples I bought on Amazon. They stop working after a few cycles and break easily. Can you recommend the best K-type thermocouples that I can attach to composite tooling inside vacuum bagging?

Thank you!

Regards,

Harsha.

Hi @Harsha,

I can ask the folks at RWC and see what thermocouples they use for their autoclave. Not sure if they are the same ones, but I'll let you know!

I did a bit of research, and this seems to be a common problem. The one thing that was recommended was the be extra careful with the wires, and some people mentioned adding cord protectors to limit the bending.

What kind of thermocouples are you using right now?
